Getting Started
Welcome to Decentrex, a decentralized perpetual futures contracts exchange. This guide will walk you through the process of getting started with our platform. By following these step-by-step instructions, you will be able to navigate the website, launch the app, connect your wallet, and deposit sUSD to start trading on Decentrex.
Step 1: Navigate to the Decentrex website
To begin, visit the Decentrex website at https://www.decentrex.com/ This will take you to the homepage, where you can find information about the platform, its features, and supported assets.
Step 2: Launch the app or click on "Trade"
Once on the Decentrex homepage, click on the "Launch App" button or the "Trade" link located at the top of the page. This will open the Decentrex trading interface.
Step 3: Connect your wallet
To connect your wallet, click the "Connect Wallet" button located at the top-right corner of the trading interface. A modal will pop up, prompting you to select a wallet. Choose MetaMask (or any other wallet you want to use) and follow the prompts to connect it to Decentrex. Make sure your wallet's network is set to Optimism mainnet.
If your MetaMask wallet is locked, you will need to unlock it by entering your password or using your hardware wallet. Once your wallet is unlocked and connected, you will see your wallet address displayed in the top-right corner of the trading interface.
Step 4: Deposit sUSD coin
In order to start trading on Decentrex, you will need to deposit sUSD into your account. To do this, click on the "Deposit" button located in the top-left corner of the trading interface, in the "Account" section. This will open a modal, where you can select the amount of sUSD you want to deposit. If you do not have any sUSD on Optimism network, please read the next step to learn how to bridge your funds to Optimism.
Enter the desired amount of sUSD you wish to deposit and click on the "Deposit" button. MetaMask will prompt you to confirm the transaction. There may be 2 transactions, the first one being required to approve sUSD for spending by the Synthetix contracts. Review all the details and confirm the transaction(s) to proceed.
Step 5: Bridging assets and swapping for sUSD
If you don't have sUSD on Optimism, you will need to bridge your assets over using the Optimism Bridge. To do this, follow these steps:
Visit the Optimism Bridge website at https://app.optimism.io/.
Connect your wallet by clicking the "Connect Wallet" button on the top-right corner and follow the prompts.
Select the token you want to bridge and enter the amount you wish to transfer to Optimism.
Click "Transfer" and confirm the transaction in MetaMask.
Once your assets have been bridged to Optimism, you will need to swap them for sUSD. To do this, follow these steps:
Visit the 1inch Exchange website at https://1inch.exchange/.
Connect your wallet by clicking the "Connect Wallet" button on the top-right corner and follow the prompts.
Ensure that you have selected the Optimism network from the network dropdown located at the top of the page.
In the "Swap" tab, select the token you have bridged as the "From" token and sUSD as the "To" token.
Enter the amount you want to swap and review the exchange rate and fees.
Click "Swap" and confirm the transaction in MetaMask.
After your transaction is confirmed, you will have sUSD in your wallet on the Optimism network. You can now return to the Decentrex trading interface, deposit your sUSD, and start trading perpetual futures contracts.
Congratulations! You have successfully navigated the Decentrex website, launched the app, connected your wallet, and deposited sUSD. You are now ready to explore the world of decentralized crypto perpetual futures contracts trading on Decentrex.
Note: This guide is for using Decentrex on the Optimism network, but in the future, we will be supporting more networks. If you are using Decentrex on Arbitrum, you will need to use their bridge instead of Optimism's.
