Opening A Trade

This guide will walk you through the process of opening a new position/trade on Decentrex using the "Place Order" panel. Please note that each transaction requires confirmation in your connected wallet.

Opening a New Position/Trade

  1. Connect your wallet: Ensure your wallet (e.g., MetaMask) is connected to Decentrex by clicking "Connect Wallet" at the top of the page.

  2. Select the desired asset: Once connected, use the market dropdown selection to choose the asset you want to trade.

  3. Navigate to the "Place Order" panel: Navigate to the "Place Order" panel, located on the lower-left side of the trading interface.

  4. Choose between "Buy" and "Sell": Click on "Buy" to open a long position (speculating that the asset's price will rise) or "Sell" to open a short position (speculating that the asset's price will decline).

  5. Enter the order amount: You can enter the order amount manually or by dragging the leverage slider. Adjust the size of your position based on the desired leverage.

  6. Place the order: After setting the order amount and leverage, click the "Place Order" button. A notification will appear in your wallet, prompting you to confirm the transaction. Once confirmed, your order will be placed and executed by keeper bots.
